This photograph depicts Confederate dead after the Battle of Corinth, Miss., 3-4 Oct. 1862. The print is dated 4 Oct. and the scene is located in front of the Union Battery Robinette. Several of the dead are identified, including General William P. Rogers, Colonel Moore, and a Chaplain; all serving in Mississippi regiments.
